Flexible, accessible timetable

Quality education in your time zone

With timetabled live lessons in a GMT+4 time zone, students in and around the Middle East receive the same world-class British education as our students in the UK, but on a more convenient schedule.

This timetable aligns with a typical school day (from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm GMT+4) for seamless and flexible study. Students can choose any of our three available time zones to suit their learning preferences and even take some subjects in a different time zone from their primary timetable for greater flexibility.

Our school adapts to your family’s needs for a truly personalised education, and no matter which time zone you’re in, the learning experience remains identical. At King’s InterHigh, your child will learn from expert UK and internationally qualified teachers and study alongside a community of classmates around the world.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Our UK, Middle East, and Southeast Asia time zones all offer the same high-quality British education King’s InterHigh is known for, just scheduled in different time zones to suit international and traveling families.

Just like our UK time zone, students studying on a Middle East time zone can follow the British curriculum from Year 3 through to Year 13 (ages 7–18) with King’s InterHigh through the same cutting-edge learning platforms. We have a vast range of subjects available in each time zone, and live lessons are synchronised across all time zones. This means families get unmatched flexibility, with the option to select additional subjects in a different time zone from their primary one.

Plus, no matter which time zone you choose for your timetabled live lessons, your child will learn from the same quality UK and internationally qualified teachers. Across all year groups and subjects, every King’s InterHigh teacher has been selected for their dedication, expertise, and experience.

Everything we offer outside of lessons — from social activities to wellbeing and SEN support — is available no matter where you’re based. For families in the Middle East, our UAE hub also brings you a unique blend of British talent and local advantages. Our Head of Middle East and Southeast Asia, Tahoora Khalil Urehman, brings an accomplished background to the region, having taught and led in British schools (including as a vice principal) before relocating to oversee our Middle East students.

Online schooling is a great alternative to physical school and will allow your child to be part of a global community. Currently, King’s InterHigh offers 3 timetables (UK, Middle East and Southeast Asia), all taught by British qualified expert teachers. Deciding which timetable is the most suitable for your child is dependent on your individual circumstances. We have an expert admissions team that can help you with all the questions you may have, as well as guiding you through your child’s enrolment process.

King’s InterHigh has been educating students online since 2005. In basic terms, an online school works just like a physical school but all online. King’s InterHigh runs live lessons on a timetable where students can interact and ask questions. The benefits to an online school are:

  • students get to study from the comfort of their own homes, or anywhere else in the world;
  • class sizes are small and free from distractions;
  • all lessons are recorded and can be accessed 24/7 – meaning a child never misses a thing and can revisit the lesson for clarification;
  • It’s a global community where students can forge friendships with others from all over the world;
  • Flexibility with the timetables.

Homeschooling traditionally puts the responsibility of teaching a full curriculum on the parents/guardians and is separate to a school or school environment.

Online schooling works more like a physical school where students are taught by subject expert teachers in live interactive lessons and are part of a school community of peers.

The British curriculum is one of the most respected and recognised education systems in the world. Having a British education opens the doors to global opportunities for your child, including access to top universities. Studying with King’s InterHigh sets the foundations for a bright future and international career prospects.

We are a non-selective school; however we do require all students to be fluent in English.

As a truly international British School, we continue to expand our timetable offering to accommodate different time zones and lifestyles around the world. We currently have a Middle East timetable that is on the time zone GMT+4/GST, allowing for greater flexibility for our students in the Middle East region. We also offer UK (GMT) and Southeast Asia (GMT+7) timetables.

The next steps

How would you like to get in touch?

VAT charges explained

The UK Government has implemented a policy to charge VAT on independent schools taking effect from the 1st of January 2025. This VAT charge is payable by families who are based in, or access, King’s InterHigh from the UK. This change does not impact families who are based outside the UK and access King’s InterHigh from another country.

We understand the significant financial commitment you make in choosing our online school as well as how important it is to be able to financially plan. After careful review of the details of the legislation, we will support parents by absorbing costs ourselves, so that a slower phasing in of this unwelcome change reduces its financial impact on families.

For the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year (starting September 2024), Inspired Education Group will absorb much of the 20% VAT charge. For the Spring and Summer terms when the 20% VAT will now apply, we will only pass on 8.5% to families, taking up the difference ourselves.

To further support families with the financial implications of this change in government policy, for the 2025-2026 academic year (starting in September 2025) there will be no inflationary tuition fee increases, and that Inspired Education Group will continue to absorb costs to limit the increase to 8.5% for that academic year. Overall, this will mean we have phased in 17% of the 20% VAT cost over two years to avoid sudden increases for families and have not increased tuition fees.

King’s InterHigh is committed to offering competitive fees and accessible, high-quality independent education, along with the unique benefits of online learning. We are pleased that through careful cost control and the benefits of being part of Inspired, the leading global group of premium schools, we can significantly reduce the financial effect on families due to this change in UK VAT policy.
