Your child will experience a uniquely accessible school with everything at their fingertips

At King’s InterHigh we understand that choosing the right school for your son or daughter is one of the biggest decisions you will ever have to make. The King’s InterHigh School calendar follows traditional UK independent school terms. Each year is a 35 week academic year.

Our school addresses the academic, pastoral and social needs of each pupil individually.

Our Key Stage 2, 3, 4 and 5 curriculum are taught by qualified, trained and experienced staff whose detailed knowledge of their subject is matched by their motivation and energy to see every pupil in their care succeed. Once lessons are over, pupils can enjoy a range of clubs, courses, seminars or catch up with friends on our very own school social media platform.

King’s InterHigh’s state of the art online learning platform and engaging learning resources enables pupils to make great progress in their studies. We give our pupils control over their learning and they enjoy their interactions around the school; a personal, engaging teaching experience where they can directly and discretely question their teachers during and after classes to ensure they have a solid understanding of the subject.

We make it easy for parents to be involved and follow their child’s progress. Parents are given their own access to the school portal which provides constant information about their son or daughter’s progress, feedback and assignments. This is supplemented by regular written feedback from all their teachers.

Above all, we offer our young people flexibility and time. The effectiveness of our learning platform means that pupils are able to watch missed lessons back in full, giving them an unrivalled opportunity to pursue their own interests, hobbies, pastimes and goals.

We are able to support pupils who join the school during the course of an academic year; this is hugely assisted by our online course resources, modules and the discrete, personal interaction pupils can have with our teachers during lessons. If you would like further details about any aspect regarding how King’s InterHigh works or how we provide an effective transition into our school, please get in contact with us and we can discuss your child’s needs.

It all adds up to make King’s InterHigh as individual as our pupils.

Safeguarding at King's InterHigh

King’s InterHigh recognises our legal and moral duty to promote the well-being of children, protect them from harm and respond to safeguarding concerns. Through their day-to-day contact with pupils and correspondence with families, the staff at the school have a role to play in noticing safeguarding concerns and working with parents and appropriate agencies.

VAT charges explained

The UK Government has implemented a policy to charge VAT on independent schools taking effect from the 1st of January 2025. This VAT charge is payable by families who are based in, or access, King’s InterHigh from the UK. This change does not impact families who are based outside the UK and access King’s InterHigh from another country.

We understand the significant financial commitment you make in choosing our online school as well as how important it is to be able to financially plan. After careful review of the details of the legislation, we will support parents by absorbing costs ourselves, so that a slower phasing in of this unwelcome change reduces its financial impact on families.

For the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year (starting September 2024), Inspired Education Group will absorb much of the 20% VAT charge. For the Spring and Summer terms when the 20% VAT will now apply, we will only pass on 8.5% to families, taking up the difference ourselves.

To further support families with the financial implications of this change in government policy, for the 2025-2026 academic year (starting in September 2025) there will be no inflationary tuition fee increases, and that Inspired Education Group will continue to absorb costs to limit the increase to 8.5% for that academic year. Overall, this will mean we have phased in 17% of the 20% VAT cost over two years to avoid sudden increases for families and have not increased tuition fees.

King’s InterHigh is committed to offering competitive fees and accessible, high-quality independent education, along with the unique benefits of online learning. We are pleased that through careful cost control and the benefits of being part of Inspired, the leading global group of premium schools, we can significantly reduce the financial effect on families due to this change in UK VAT policy.
