2025 A Level results: Celebrating our students’ successes

By King's InterHigh

This year’s A Level Results Day has been filled with congratulations and celebrations, but our students’ stories can’t be captured in grades alone.

Alongside achieving incredible results, our Class of 2025 have moved us with their victories outside school, their personal breakthroughs, and their exciting experiences along the way.

Hear from some of our students as they share their achievements and their journeys at King’s InterHigh.

Lucinda

Congratulations to Lucinda on her A Level success, including an A* and an A!

UK-based student Lucinda has spent much of her youth in and out of hospitals managing chronic illnesses, but that hasn’t dampened her determination. With the flexibility of online schooling at King’s InterHigh, Lucinda has been able to tailor her learning schedule around medical appointments and needs, even joining classes from her hospital bed as she studied towards her remarkable A Level achievements!

Lucinda’s own health experiences have driven her to ambitions of working in medicine one day, but she also has a big passion for the arts: from singing and voice acting to screenwriting and digital art. An active member of our global community, she found real joy in her online co-curriculars. Whether she was submitting recordings for Band Club, performing for the House Drama Competition, or singing solo in our Student Choir, King’s InterHigh helped Lucinda reengage with her love of music and theatre around her studies.

We wish Lucinda all the best in her goal of pursuing a medical career while continuing to nurture her creative talents!

What have you been able to achieve thanks to King’s InterHigh?

Lucinda: "King’s InterHigh is a completely different school experience compared to what I had in the younger years, especially having alternative provision for most of my secondary school years due to not being able to physically travel to any local school because of fatigue. I’ve been able to attend lessons not only at the hospital, but also adapt school around my conditions and do lessons when I could through the recordings feature, even though I wasn’t physically there in class. I’ve also been able to meet some great classmates, which comes as being part of that online school environment."

Sophia

Congratulations to Sophia on achieving A*A*A in her A Levels!

Like so many international students, when Sophia moved from Germany to Thailand, she faced the challenge of finding a high-quality, English-language education that could help pave her way to a top law degree in the UK.

Thankfully, her family found King’s InterHigh, where Sophia got all the expert teaching, personalised support, and future guidance she needed to earn a place at one of the most prestigious and highly renowned universities in the world: the University of Cambridge!

Sophia says her ambitions might have looked quite different today were it not for online school. The King’s InterHigh environment also rekindled her passion for writing and helped her build valuable skills for the future, which came in handy with her university applications as well as her personal projects.

We wish Sophia all the best in her next steps: studying law at the University of Cambridge!

What have you been able to achieve thanks to King’s InterHigh?

Sophia: “Thanks to King’s InterHigh, I was able to continue receiving education at a great standard in English, which I would have missed out on otherwise in local physical schools. The content and the way it was taught at King’s InterHigh also helped revive my passion for writing through English Literature, as well as develop so many other necessary academic skills. I am very grateful that I ended up joining King’s InterHigh as, otherwise, my ambitions might have looked quite different today.”

Bijou

Congratulations to Bijou on achieving ABB in her A Levels!

Bijou studied A Levels in Sociology, Business, and Media Studies with us at King’s InterHigh while living in Hong Kong, where she’s been flourishing as a true creative. Recently, she produced, directed, edited, acted, and animated her own short film at the age of 17, along with designing the costume for her character and producing music for the piece.

The summer after her AS exams, Bijou won Best Experimental Film at the Hong Kong Arthouse Film Festival 2025 and received a nomination for the highly prestigious Cannes International Film Week 2026! This year, she went on to create her second short film, which weaves in with the narrative of her very own fashion brand, FAERYS. According to Bijou, it’s all been possible thanks to the flexibility of an online school day.

We wish Bijou all the best as she pursues her dreams in directing, fashion design, modelling and entrepreneurship in London!

What have you been able to achieve thanks to King’s InterHigh?

Bijou: “I believe King’s InterHigh allowed me the flexibility to live how I wanted to live while being in sixth form. The culture fostered at King’s InterHigh was de-stressing, as my teachers were all understanding of individual circumstances and didn’t put me in a box or a ‘one-size-fits-all. The flexibility, adaptable lessons, and what a “school day” looked like gave me space to develop a deep narrative [for my creative pursuits]. Thank you King’s InterHigh for being a part of my self-starter journey, and shout out to all my teachers.”

Grace

Congratulations to Grace on achieving A*BB in her A Levels!

King’s InterHigh Head Girl Grace found her true home at King’s InterHigh. Studying with us for four years from South Wales, she originally left traditional school because she felt unhappy and unrecognised. Alongside achieving amazing academic success in English Language, English Literature, and Psychology, Grace also found something she believes is far more precious: her authentic self and “her people.”

Over the years, she’s connected with likeminded peers, discovered her unique identity, and grown in her personal faith. Alongside joining our Student Council, Grace loved getting the chance to share her online school story with outlets like Times Radio, where she talked about her mental health back in 2023. Through it all, she’s remained committed to her community, volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Society and The Lions Charity locally.

We wish Grace all the best in her plans to gain valuable work experience after King’s InterHigh!

What have you been able to achieve thanks to King’s InterHigh?

Grace: “Throughout my educational journey at King’s InterHigh, one of my most important achievements involves finding my people: discovering my greatest friends, meeting the most amazing people, and finding my true identity. Being at home consistently gave me time to not only think about what I want for my future, but to practice true gratitude, independence, confidence, and to make memories with the people that I love the most including my family, friends, and teachers. Online schooling has also allowed me to recognise my full potential through my dyslexia diagnoses, with incredible support from not only my peers but from the whole school community. I will forever be thankful for King’s InterHigh.”

Olivia

Congratulations to Olivia on achieving A*BC in her A Levels!

Olivia joined King’s InterHigh from her home in the UK after a particularly difficult period in her life. Studying online with us for the past two years, she’s discovered confidence she never thought possible. For Olivia, some of the highlights of King’s InterHigh included studying with a diverse global community and learning in a safe space where she could be herself.

Her A Level studies in Classical Civilisation, History, and Biology have also opened the door to her dream university pathway studying history, but her academic excellence also shone through her EPQ studies at King’s InterHigh, where she scored an A* for her project on sea turtle nesting sites.

We wish Olivia all the best as she goes on to Royal Holloway University to study history, politics, and international relations!

What have you been able to achieve thanks to King’s InterHigh?

Olivia: “I joined King’s InterHigh after a really difficult period in my life and am proud to be part of such a diverse and culturally motivated community. I have gained more confidence than I ever thought was possible, and my experience has shown me that anything is possible. Online learning has provided me with a safe space to be myself and share my knowledge with peers through an integrated network of intelligent minds. I have loved every second of my journey and have since been offered a place at one of the UK's most prestigious institutions for history with modules also being taught at UCL, meaning that within my course, I will be studying with a global top 10 university.”

At King’s InterHigh, sixth form students exceed their academic targets and go on to top universities around the world — but they also build their confidence, develop skills for the future, and take on their own ambitions. Stories like theirs remind us why the right environment matters and show everyone what’s possible with a different way to learn.

By King's InterHigh

King’s InterHigh is an independent British international online school. Offering Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form education, we cater to students from age 7 – 18 who are looking for a high quality British education delivered in a way that revolves around their lifestyle.

VAT charges explained

The UK Government has implemented a policy to charge VAT on independent schools taking effect from the 1st of January 2025. This VAT charge is payable by families who are based in, or access, King’s InterHigh from the UK. This change does not impact families who are based outside the UK and access King’s InterHigh from another country.

We understand the significant financial commitment you make in choosing our online school as well as how important it is to be able to financially plan. After careful review of the details of the legislation, we will support parents by absorbing costs ourselves, so that a slower phasing in of this unwelcome change reduces its financial impact on families.

For the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year (starting September 2024), Inspired Education Group will absorb much of the 20% VAT charge. For the Spring and Summer terms when the 20% VAT will now apply, we will only pass on 8.5% to families, taking up the difference ourselves.

To further support families with the financial implications of this change in government policy, for the 2025-2026 academic year (starting in September 2025) there will be no inflationary tuition fee increases, and that Inspired Education Group will continue to absorb costs to limit the increase to 8.5% for that academic year. Overall, this will mean we have phased in 17% of the 20% VAT cost over two years to avoid sudden increases for families and have not increased tuition fees.

King’s InterHigh is committed to offering competitive fees and accessible, high-quality independent education, along with the unique benefits of online learning. We are pleased that through careful cost control and the benefits of being part of Inspired, the leading global group of premium schools, we can significantly reduce the financial effect on families due to this change in UK VAT policy.
