Sarah suffered from cyber-bullying
I found King's InterHigh at a time when it was incredibly challenging for me. I had experienced cyber-bullying in my local school which had knocked me off balance when it came to learning.

I found King’s InterHigh at a time when it was incredibly challenging for me. I had experienced cyber-bullying in my local school which had knocked me off balance when it came to learning.
Secondly, I had recently been diagnosed with M.E and I was mostly housebound due to the severity of the illness. King’s InterHigh kept me in the loop when I needed school the most as I didn’t want to just drop out of education. I joined towards the end of Year 10 for my remaining GCSE years.
Preparing for the future…
I was fortunate enough to make a full recovery when I was 19 and did my Maths and English GCSES to catch up. Shortly after that, I embarked on an Access Course in Law to try to get into university. I made a chance application to Cambridge on my UCAS form, and was lucky enough to have been offered a conditional place in 2012. I studied a BA in Law and Political Science which was very rewarding.
Since graduating in 2015, I worked as a Management Consultant for KPMG before setting up my own PR firm in 2016. I now live in sunny Mauritius with my husband. I am grateful to King’s InterHigh for the opportunity to study when I could not attend regular school. My advice to anyone facing similar challenges is just to push on and keep pursuing your passion. King’s InterHigh is not only a great place to learn, but also a lovely community and a place of encouragement.
